Incorporating Phase I Environmental Site Assessments into the HUD Environmental Review

This training will discuss the use of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for HUD- assisted projects in relation to the HUD environmental review.

This training will also present a case study of a Phase I ESA that was performed for a HUD project. Participants can submit any questions they have on the Phase I ESA during registration.

 

Participants will be able to:

Describe the various reasons for performing a Phase I ESA on HUD-assisted properties
Outline the key components of a Phase I ESA
Interpret the Phase I ESA results in the context of HUD environmental review regulations at 24 CFR 58.5(i)

Who Should Attend? This training is intended for environmental staff of HUD grantees and others who may work on environmental reviews of HUD-assisted projects.
